TIMELINE?????

Hi. I am a patient of Dr. Hart's in Atlanta. I had my first consult with him on 1-10. I got all my tests out of the way the following week. Emory Dunwoody medical forgot to do the Hemoglobin A1c, so I went to my PCP last Friday to get that done. Mildred from Hart's office called me 3 days ago to say Dr. Hart wanted another test, so I got that done at my PCP 2-16. At what point do they say OK enough and actually submit my packet to the ins. co.?? I mean, I know that's a wait, but just getting to that point has taken forever! By the way, congratulations to all those of you who have had the surgery done and have been successful with it. It must be very liberating. Carole T.

Yeah Carole, There seems to be almost never ending hoops to jump through. All this is done, they say for our health's sake. Congratulations on having so much done. You are well on you way to wls, it won't be long now. Love, Meso

Hey Meso: Thanks for the encouragement. I guess it just helps to hear that I'm not the only one. In fact, Amanda from Hart's office e-mailed me yesterday evening to say that she had faxed my packet to BCBS! That made me feel better; another hurdle behind me. Hi Carole! I'm not a Dr. Hart patient, so not sure how that gets resolved at Doc Harts office. It took me about 5 months to get everything done and to get a date. Hey Tami: Thanks for your response. Dr. Hart's coordinator actually sent my packet over to BCBS late Friday - FINALLY. Now I guess it's just a waiting game with them. You're in Duluth? Cool. I am in Lawrenceville, inthe Collins Hill area. Hopefully I'll be posting soon with approval, then a date. I am very very ready! Carole T.
