Cascade Stomach Surgery A Go!

Got an e-mail this afternoon from Dr. Scarborough's nurse saying the surgery was a go, but no surgery date, yet, as Emory Atventist Hospital is full of flu patients, which has backed up the surgery schedule for a couple of weeks. I can live with that. I'm so happy I can't sleep. I've been calling all my family to tell them the good news, as we were all so worried. I keep forgetting - ALL IN GOD'S TIME.

Grats on the great news! But I have no clue what a "cascade stomach surgery" is

A cascade stomach is long and narrow, and food collects in the top and then pours all at once into the bottom. Sort of like a dumping syndrome. I guess it requires a little different type of pouch shape. Don't know and don't care, as long as it can be done! Thanks for your post - Barb in S. Georgia
