Ok, I need some input here. My scales are going in the wrong direction. I am up a few pounds the past few days. Am I weighing too much? It is so hard not to hop on the scales every day. I am getting in the water and protein that is required. More water than is required. Sticking to the regime strictly. What is wrong? Someone please help me. I am more than a little worried here. Thanks so much, Tonya Waters

Tonya, Your weight fluctuates a few pounds all the time. Factors are, water intake, hormones, ect....Weighing yourself every day is a big NO NO, but I am the last person to tell you to stop. At one point, I was weighing myself up to 10 times a day. It did get obsessive, and If by chance I gained a couple of lbs,my whole day would be ruined. One day, after getting off of the scale, I went right back to bed, and my 4 year old came in to me, and asked me why I was so sad. It was like a light bulb went off in my head. Here I was feeling bad, and missing out on my life. I called my hubby, and told him about what I was doing, and when he got home from work, he took the scale, and would only give it to me once a week. This was several months ago, and now the scale is back, but I still fight the urge to weigh myself every day. You will drive yourself crazy with this, believe me I know, please save yourself the heartache, and pick a day, and only weigh yourself once a week, In the mean time, usee a piece of clothing as your judge of weight loss, I used to have a shirt, that I could not even button up, but I would put it on once a week, and watch it get closer and closer to buttoning. Then when it would button,I would try it on to see when it would hang from me, and not be tight around my middle. It made me feel so good to watch the changes.I hope that you have a good day! Cathy

I agree about the once a week weigh-in's. Mine is Sat. AM before I have breakfast. I know a couple that say they only weigh once a month. I have to keep closer tabs on myself than that. At 6plus months, I probably could eat myself into a gain if I sat my mind to it. I am determined not to obsess about this. I tried midweek weigh-in's a couple of times, and like others, my weight would be jumpin' around and I'd be discouraged. I just do not do that anymore.
