Hello All, Wow, I did it, I made it and I'm home. Thank you to everyone who's posted and sent well wishes and prayers my way. They are MUCH appreciated! I'm anxious now for the pain to go away. My left side of my abdomine is the only area that's sore, and I walk around like hunched over old lady, but the walking helps...so does the Morephine!!!! LOL. The liquid pain meds they gave me in the hospital made me nausiated so my doctor prescribed me the morephine. There are times where I'm weak and tired and other times where I feel really good. Does anyone else get that "gurgurly" feeling going down your intestines when you drink or eat?? it's so weird! (and that's when the bathroom is calling)..I don't feel like "eating"/drinking but I know I have to to keep my strength up and to get me feeling better. I can't wait until I'm 100% and I'm sure it won't be long. Thanks again everyone!!

Congratulations Kelly. I am 3 weeks out and I had the same pain on my left side but it is finally going away. Walking is the best thing you can do. I am starting to get my energy back now, just listen to your body and take it slow. I told my doctor the other day that I could feel my water going down and gurgurling and he said that is normal and I asked if it would go away and he said no so I guess it is just something we have to get use to. I wish you the best of luck with your recovery. Take care, Bonnie

Kelly, we are all so glad you're home safe and sound. Take it easy and don't try to do too much. Listen to your body and you'll be fine. The first six weeks is such a huge adjustment period. Of course, I'm 7 months out and still finding things out. Good luck! Kelle

Hi Kelly, CONGRATULATIONS! I am so glad to hear you are home and dong well. It sounds like you are a real trooper! Yes, I had the same thing with the periods of weakness, and then feeling really good. But, as others have said, just listen to your body, and when it feels the weakness, it is time to get more rest. Try taking a nap or two during the day at about the same time each day. Just pace yourself and try hard not to overdo. THAT is the hardest part...at least it was for ME. During the times when I felt really good, it was like I would have bursts of energy, and a couple of times I DID overdo...only to pay for it later. So just take things really easy, ok? Please know you will be in my thoughts and prayers as you continue to recover. God bless you! Pat

Welcome home, Kelly!!! I also got that weird feeling when I ate or drank. The left side of my abdomen was also the sore spot for me. It will get better soon!!! Hugs, Becky
