Were there people you didn't tell?

Hi Michelle! I posted a message about writing letters to friends and loved ones for the very reason that you mentioned in your message! Some people do not know very much if anything at all about wls except for the horror stories. So, they are not very supportive and my even be totally against us having this type of operation! At first I just thought about writing "goodbye letters". But one of the replys to my post suggested that I write those that I care about letters that they could read while I am having the surgery or after I've had it! That way they won't be able to try and talk me out of it and I won't have to deal with their negativity. At any rate, you already know how your in-laws are going to react. Perhaps you might think about whether or not you can handle their negative reactions. If not, maybe you could write them a letter and send it to them or e-mail them the day of your surgery. I am going to be doing both. Heaven forbid I leave certain frends or relatives out of the loop! No matter what you decide to do you always have our support! Please keep us posted! Blessings! Cheryl G.
