Jeremy update. Original Post by Bo McCoy at 9:34 AM PST on 01/04/2005 This thread has been viewed 451 times San Juan Capistrano, CA - RNY (07/31/2002) I just wanted everyone to know that Cheryl and I had the opportunity to visit with Jeremy this past Sunday [sorry for delayed post] he look great. He was sitting up with his glasses on. He smiled and mouthed a few words to us. The most impressive part of the visit was that he was so alert and able to hear and nod his head. He has been given some Jello squares and water. He is having some difficulty with nausua but, this is normal postoperatively anyway. He is still undergoing very intensive care with his kidneys, infection etc. The Dr's were finally able to find the source of the infection [his lungs]. Apparently post op he developed some lung infection, this too is not unusual for a person his size as the gas they use in the surgery has to be expelled out of the body. Due to his size and condition he couldn't move enough to expell all the gas from his lungs and this caused some infection. In all this was a great visit for me because I felt I could "see" he is a fighter and he will not give up...easily. His wife and his father need your continued prayer, financial help, and well wishes. --Bo You can view Jeremy's profile to find out how you can help. http://www.obesityhelp.com/morbidobesity/profile.phtml?N=N1088200526
