I'm confused
I am 6 weeks post op and I still don't know other then eggs what I can have for breakfast? I'm going over my Weight Loss Center book and its saying I can have hot or cold ceral, half of sandwich or even a breakfast burrito and all kinds of things. I thought I couldn't have bread, rice, cereal of any kind or other carbs in this case still? Okay so can someone please help a sista out with her food groups for morning meals!
Thanks
Lisha H
Hey Lisha,
I limit but don't exclude carbs. For breakfast I eat things like:
1/2 slice whole wheat cheese toast and fruit
1/2 c cottage cheese w/ fruit or sliced tomatoes
1 package low sugar instant oatmeal
1 container(4 oz) Dannon light n fit carb control yogurt
1/2 cheese grits
scrambled omelet (I like to add some ham, tomatoes, mushrooms & cheese)
Pack of cheese crackers
one link turkey sausage and 2 oz scrambled eggs.
I hope this give you some ideas
Hugs,
Tonya

This one is tough. Tonya's list looks great. I still have a protein shake for breakfast each day...at almost seven months. At six weeks, I added blueberries, strawberries, and watermelon. Those might be choices for breakfast. I definitely could not eat eggs or cold cereal...made me dump! I still try to stay away from carbs like breads and rice. I could also handle
pre-cooked (microwaveable) bacon, one or two pieces. The thinker kinds made me ill. Try one new food at a time to see how you handle it.
It does get easier! Sometimes, that's good, and sometimes, that's bad!!!
Hugs,
Becky
