I am making roast chicken instead of turkey, and dressing/gravy, homemade mac and cheese, sweet potatoes, and don't know what else... I cannot partake of the Thanksgiving meal...so mine is coming early

No you aren't crazy. I would do it too. Make it your last farewell to food as you know it. We now have to think of food as a survival item and not an every minute thing. I use to live to eat, now I only eat to live. Does that make sense? I sure hope so! I am crazy anyway. If you need me just yell. Hugs, Debra =^..^=

I had Thanksgiving meal at my sister's house today. I am still so full and I didn't even get a peice of pumpkin pie with whip cream. I do have a pie here( I made the pies) but I left all the whipped cream there. I said at the next one I will just lick my turkey. LOL

Not crazy at all. It looks like I will miss out on my mom's BIG Christmas dinner this year, so after I get my surgery date on Nov 11th. She is going to fix me her home made dressing. Enjoy it now!!!! Martha

What an EXCELLENT idea!! My surgery is on 11/18, so I'll miss out on Thanksgiving too... I think we'll have an early Turkey Day this weekend! Turkey breast, dressing, gravy, a single slice of pecan pie for me, some sweet potato souffle with pecans, and rolls... mmmmmm.... Lorri

I am having my RNY on 19 Nov. We always have Thankgiving dinner at my older brother's house and even though I won't be able to eat what they eat, my brother told me I wouldn't miss out. He said they went out and bought the best Gerber baby food turkey, green beans, potatoes, carrots and applesause that money could buy!!!!!! Bless his heart!!
