Hi GeorgiaGirl...
You know I had him as my surgeon many years ago and was told twice that he would not preform surgery on me.  One time was my fault, I had not lost the required weight he asked....my fault.
The other was that he stopped taking medicare and fed me some bull**** story about insurance.
I dropped his butt and went with someone else.
I never met him once in the time I was a pt. there.  I was 11 days preop and asked to meet him (isn't this important when you have your gut cut open from sternum to navel?)was told he was "busy".  I never even knew what he looked like until I saw him on one of the local news channels...sheesh.
Also what turned me off was the fact that he "herded" his pts.  He had about 20 people walking in groups from this office to another, at one point he even weighed us as a group.  I was so fat I didn't care who saw my weight but others were humilated beyond belief.
We aren't cattle we are people.
I am not sure if he does this anymore but I just had a bad feeling about him from the get-go.
I'm sorry you had such crappy aftercare, I hope you are ok now.
Hugs..
Donna

Remember, there's a big difference between malabsorption and malNUTRITION. Malabsorption helps lose and keep weight off. Malnutrition can KILL.
