QuestionS FOR OTHER STATE EMPLOYEE?

THIS QUESTION FOR STATE EMPLOYEE. HAS ANYONE SUBMITTED ANY OTHER THERE PAPERWORK TO "THE SURGEON'S OFFICE?" I TALKED TO SOMEONE AT DR. TITUS OFFICES AND SHE TOLD ME THAT I CAN SUBMIT MY PAPERWORK PACKAGE FROM THE SEMINAR. SHE STATED THAT THEY WILL NOT SEND ANYTHING IN TO THE INSURANCE COMPANY ****IL 2009). (which is good).(atlanta medical center) WILL BE OFFERING A 3 MONTH BEHAVIOR MODIFICATION CLASS STARTING 2ND FRIDAY IN JANUARY. THE LADY I SPOKE WITH THERE ALSO STATED THAT SHE THINK THAT BEHAVIOR MODIF CAN BE DONE WITH YOUR PCP, JUST BY YOUR PCP DOCUMENTING EVERY CHANGE YOU MAKE DURING THE 6 MONTHS DIET. ***example "a person came in drinking 6 soda a day and no exercise, now the person walks 30 mins a day and have completely cut out soda."

SO PLEASE TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK...

Of course you can start gathering the paperwork for the surgeon's office.  They can't submit it until you provide them with the new insurance card.

As far as the rest of it   I would say sign up for that behavior modification class.  Or, you can wait until January 2nd when you can get yourself assigned to a case manager at UHC/Optum (you have UHC, right?)

No, I haven't submitted anything. I figured it was pointless, since I dont have the insurance coverage until next year, and I dont want my stuff to get lost in a pile of papers somewhere.

As far as the behavior mod classes, is this in place of or in conjunction with the supervised diet. Is this something you're electing to do, or is it an insurance requirement?

HEY LESHELLE, AS YOU KNOW THIS IS SOMETHING THAT UHC IS SAYING I MAY HAVE TO COMPLETE. HOWEVER, ATLANTA MEDICAL CENTER BEHAVIOR MOD CLASSES ONLY LAST 3 MONTHS OPPOSE TO THE 6 MONTHS UHC IS REQUIRING THAT WE NEED TO PROBABLY COMPLETE. (GIRL I'M LOST). I VE ALREADY COMPLETED MY 6 MONTH SUP DIET WITH MY PCP. SO I GUESS IT CAN BE IN CONJUNCTON ACCORDING TO THE LADY AT ATLANTA MEDICAL. BUT IT'S A COST TO DO THE 3 MONTH BEHVIOR MOD CLASSES AT ATLANTA MEDICAL. (SHE STATED THE COST IS NOT KNOWN YET)

AS FAR AS MY PAPERWORK GOES I'M GONNA MAKE COPIES OF EVERYTHING BEFORE SENDING THE PAPERWORK. THE PAPERWORK WORKSHEET ALSO STATES THAT THEY DO NOT WANT ANY OF THE CLEARANCE PAPERWOR****IL THEY WRITE YOU (THAT IS ONCE THEY RECEIVED THE WORKSHEET INFO, THAT WAS GIVIN AT THE SEMINAR.
SO I GUESS THAT I CAN GET THE BALL ROLLING IN REFERENCE TO THAT (BECAUSE THEY CAN NOT SUBMIT ANYTHING NOW)!! I JUST WANNA GET THAT OUT THE WAY. SINCE I CAN

 I'm not doing anything until I can talk with someone at UHC after Jan 1...which is less than 48 hours from now :)  Until I get the final word from UHC, I'll have hope that I can have surgery whenever and whatever kind I want...where ever I want to have it done.  Yeah, I know, I am stupid.

(and btw, some people in the cyberworld think of all caps as yelling, so you may not want to do that :) not that I care...)
