Anyone know Dr. Duncan?

Hello everyone, I discovered this board while looking for information about WLS and I'm hoping someone can help. I'm in the very beginning stages of this process. I know I want to get the lap-band, now I just need to find a surgeon. Does anyone know anything about Dr. Duncan of Peachtree Bariatrics in Atl? I've spoken to someone in his office and they seem OK, but I would like to hear from someone whose not on his payroll.

Hello tia, I can honestly say for myself that he was amazing. He is a very informed doctor and makes you feel at ease. After you go to your seminar where he speaks you will see what im talking about. He has a top knotch reputation also. I think he is like second or third in the country doing WLS. You are doing right by checking out about the dr you choose. Good for you on doing your homework. Hey new comer how are you. my name is lavell and i'm at the end of my stage of getting my surgery and i'm useing dr.ducan office. and he is one of the best surgens in the contery. well sconed best. any way just go to one of his group meetings and you will be shocked at how many people come to his meeting wanting him to do there surgerys.also there is no waiting list to have your surgery. my surgery is April 4 th. it is a very short prosse when you get all your paper work and appm at of the way and all your clearces. so if you choose him you got a great surgen. good luck on finding your surgen . you can also go to dr. duncan patients form and read some of his patients post where they talk about there surgery and the out come from the surgery . i will be praying for you on finding the dr. that you want to have a blessed surgery... lavell

My husband and I both used his group. we were very happy with him and the surgery. I will tell you, you don't get a lot of face time with the surgeon, but you do get to know the staff and the PA's. The surgeons are busy....doing surgery. But, you need to do your research and make an informed decision that is right for you. Duncan's group makes you do a bit more than other groups...just know that. He makes you lose weight prior to surgery and will try to scare the be-youknowwhat out of you prior to surgery. They are very honest! Have you been to their informational seminar? Good luck to you. I know you will make the decision that is best for you.

Hay Tia I'm also using peachtree bariatrics and very happy with them. thay have a awesome support group that the lady in office head up. susan cally is a nurse and had dr. ducan do her surgey it was great to have someone that has (been there done that) to answer concerns. good luck and god bless!

Tia, Dr. Duncans group is great, I had a wonderul experience, Dr. Hobson did my actual surgery but I have had great success. Do your research and choose who you feel is the best for you. Diva
