Medicare

Does any one know a Doctor in the Marietta Ga. area accept Medicare to pay for WLS?I can't seem to find one .Thanks for any help.

Patricia, I used Dr. Khaitan from Emory Bariatrics. The other surgeons in the office also take Medicare. At least they did two years ago. Have you tried them yet? Hope this helps. Tonya Waters

i believe Dr. Hixon takes it, he did mine he is at atlanta medical center 404-265-3333 tAMMY

Hay Patricia, Peachtree Surgical accept Medicare thay are located at Atlanta Medical Center Dr. Titus Ducan thay do Laparoscopic Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass. Dr. Hixon also accept Medicare but only does a open Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass and require $2,000 dollars up front for all patients including medicare and medicade patients.

Go to Peachtree Surgical and Bariatrics they are the BEST. They did mine 1/9/07 I weighed 316 at date of surgery and am 189 now from a size 30/32 to 14 and still loosing. Had no pain and no compilcations. I was 60 years old when I had them do the surgery. It is worth the test and time it takes to get the appointment. Good luck as your journey begins and God bless.
