In 24 hours I will be banded and still hungry. Suggestions?
I have suffered on powered drinks for 2 weeks as I watch my favorite foods being eaten by party goers, friends and family. I will be home tomorrow (without complications prayerfully) and will wonder what I can "get away with" this next week where I am told it will still be fluids for 3 more weeks. Any suggestions on what I can pour, stuff down my food tube that my band may get along with? I know you guys will tell me to listen to my Doctor. I already plan to call and tell them all I had in the house was a 12 oz steak and so I cooked and ate it in one sitting just to tick them off. I have a dry humor anyway.
Will I have any problems swallowing the horse pills I have to take?
Just wanting to hear something different from someone. If you have a minute please share with me what your first 2 or 3 weeks was like after surgery.
Thanks!
Island Jon
Jon,
i've been banded 2 1/2 years now.. drop me a question with anything you want to know and I will do my best to answer.
The Lapband forum is also a great forums, many many good people and good advice over there.
I can say, i've probably experienced everything possible with this band so far, so probably not many things I won't be able to answer for you.
