United Health Care PPO HELP

ok...So far so good. I have had all tests & I am ready to submit to UHC...Is there anyone out there with this Ins...UHC Choice Plus PPO? Any luck? Has anyone heard anything about 2007 changes? My husband is a Fire fighter in Paulding co. & we have their Ins. I am just under 300 lbs with tons of pretty serious co-morbs. I am currently totally disabled (by doctors) due to 2 back surgeries & several other medical problems. all my doctors (6) agree that I MUST have this surgery ASAP. Hi, Well My insurance is UHC-EPO All my documents were submitted on 12-04 Im still waiting, I was told today I should have a decision by next week very nerve racking. Im praying after all this waiting is good news. My self I called UHC- inquire if the procedure was covered and ask what was the criteria they were very helful. BMI had to be over 40, and suffered with obesity for more than five years. I then attended Dr. Titus Duncan Seminar which was great they cover everything, your specific carier would need to for the approval process. I hope this was helful. Good Luck!

Hi there, I am a new employye that will have UHC/PPO within a few months, possibly February and is hoping that they cover the VSG. I know that thewy cover the Bypass and the Band; the VSG is fairly new to a lot of the plans. If they cover this, it would surely be a blessing for me because oterwise, I had planned to g to Mexico when it was time for vacation sometimes in February. I do not want to wait another year and have all f the lbs on me that I now have. If you have their 800 number for memebers services, will yu pls list it. Thank you, Rann

I'm not familiar with the vsg procedure. You can call the number I used maybe they can refer you to a different number your employer use. 800-962-1345 Good luck!
