I live alone and have no real schedule except whatever I want to do. Not much housekeeping to do, etc. I try to stay busy but have a joint problem that keeps me somewhat sedentary though not all the time. When I am home and watching TV or listening to music, sometimes I just want something to snack on. It's no real problem so far and I don't want it to get that way. When I buy snacks I go by the guidelines my nutritionist has given me. I have lost 125 pounds in the last 2 years since my surgery and I just need a few suggestions if anyone can help. Thanks, Dumpling

Hmmm, this is tough. I'm on the computer a good percentage of the day and bringing food to the computer is not the best idea. I guess you have to try to train yourself. For instance if your brain feels like in a situation you should be snacking, maybe you trained it to be that way. If you know what I mean. Like for instance society has popcorn and movies. We kind of made ourself want to snack.. Anyhow. What I will usually do is find some healthy stuff like carrots, those fill me up and not as many calories...or if I must have some chips... I stick with 1oz size the individual bags to make sure I don't eat too much. If I opened a huge bag I'd likely we eating the whole thing not even thinking about it. Find something dense that will stay in your tummy and low in calories. It's hard I know to not want to snack. It's a battle for me daily. Amy

Hi my name is Dorothy (Jeannie) and I'm just a few months post op and I find that snaking on things that are good for me is the best. I too only eat small meals and I too live alone. I'm here to help if you need me. take care
