Hey everyone, I am about 3 weeks post op and I am on the soft protein phase of my diet. For the past few days, I haven't been able to tolerate things that I am suppose to have. It seems that everything that I try to eat makes me sick at my stomach. I was doing just fine before now. I was loving scrambled eggs with cheese, now I can't even think about it. Chicken, fish, tuna, cottage cheese, pudding, even jello makes me want to throw up. The only thing that tastes good or feels good going down is popicles. HELP! What can I do? I can't try other stuff yet. I don't know what to do. I hope that someone can help me. Any advice is welcomed. Oh, I am having just as hard a time with my protein supplement. Thanks, Sherry

Sherry, You need to call your doctor. You may have a stricture or blockage. Only he will be able to tell you what may be wrong. Good Luck! Cynde rny 10-10-05 367-215-180

Sherry a lot of things still make me sick as well. Did you have your gallbladder out at surgery, if not you maight be having a problem with that I am. But if that is not it call your doctor and ask them. I wore patches for a long time until they said it was my gallbladder that was causing me all of these problems.

Sherry, definitely call your doctor. For me, things changed. I had a very hard time getting protein shakes down...they made me very nauseous. Lots of things made me nauseous. There were things I could eat in the beginning that I couldn't eat after a while. After time, that got better. But, you do want to make sure you don't ahve a problem.
