Hi everybody- I am as about excited today as I was 2 years ago when I got approval for my Gastric Bypass...I got the call I was waiting on today- I am now offically a candidate for revision from the GB to the Duodenal Switch!!! I had my EGD yesterday, and those results were sent to the surgeon in Dayton, OH- Based on everything Dr. Maguire feels I am a great candidate for the procedure. I will be going for a consultation on 11/22. Since I had so many complications with the Gastric Bypass, I would be lying if I said that I do not have fear - I can only hope that this will make the corrections needed for me to move forward. I know that I have to do what I must. I have had a heck of a time getting through this- And although times I have felt bad- I have never given up on the process.. The Bypass helped me get the first 100 lbs off, but now I hope to get the additional 100 lbs off with the help of this revision procedure. I would tell those folks who don't have success with the Gastric Bypass to not give up! Although there are a few of us who do not have perfect success, there is always an answer to your prayers. Please send up prayers that my insurance will pay for this revision procedure! Once I have my consultation then I will know what the next step will be. The hardest part will be clearing a month from all my activities to have this done. I will have to stay in Dayton approximately 3 weeks after the procedure in case anything comes up...The biggest problem now is to determine when? I also need to make syre that Kelli is settled before I embark on this for myself. Anyway, I want to Thank you for all your support- I will keep you posted! Much Denise!

Hi Denise Congrats on your revision surgery. Remember, they key to success this time around is to follow your surgeons instructions and remember this is just a tool and you will still need to make wise food choices. You WILL do well and you're in my prayers. Good Luck Stacey aka SexyEyes
