Does anyone know a Doctor in the Atlanta Area who can do a DS Revision ?

Hi All, As alot of you know,I am a two year post op Gastric Bypass patient. I have lost 100 lbs, but considered failed because I have only lost 42% of my weight. My surgeon has recommended that I get a revision of my GB to a DS...and so I was looking for surgeons in the Atlanta area who can perform this? Dr. Daniel Smith in Marietta does not do revisions. Does anyone know if there are any qualified Physcians at Emory who can do a revision? I also found a Dr. Donald Maynard in Conyers whom I am investigating.. Hi Denise, Have you checked with Dr. Lin with Emory. Last time I talked to him he we got on a discussion about revisions, I think he does them on a case by case basis. Erica

hi Erica, I was told Daniel Smith at Emory was the person who did this- However, he was leaving? I looked on Emory's website, and I saw Dr. Lin, but when I read his procedures, I was not sure if he did the DS? I will call them and place a query with them as well. Check with Peachtree Surgical and Bariatrics/Dr. Titus Duncan in Atlanta...There are several surgeons on staff...one of whom may do that procedure. -karen-

Denise-I have no answers for you, but you'd think Dr. S would have done some networking for you...I heard that Duncan does the revision...eeeeep! I hope you get answers soon-have you spoken with insurance yet?

Girl Check your Email- I have sent you some information that I do not want to post publically. As for Dr Duncan- I am not feeling him. When I first chose to have GB, I did not like how he processes people thtough his office like sheep. The fact that you can get one of many Doctors at any given time is very impersonal to me- I am just not feeling that you know? Thats why I went with Appel/Steinberg..I just like feeling like I count and I am a person- and not another body with dollars attached.. Denise

Not sure if he does revisions but check anyway with Dr. Christopher Hart. He is with Atlanta Bariatrics.
