Seeking recommendations for an ob-gyn physician in metro atlanta

I'm back in Atlanta after having been gone since before the Olympics. I am establishing new physicians and am not having much luck finding a gyn doc who seems comfortable treating & advocating for morbidly obese women. I am seeking first-hand recommendations from those of you who have a good gyn. I prefer a female gyn and don't mind driving. Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I use Dr. Robbins in Marietta. She's great. Their office is wonderful. Everyone there is very caring. Only problem is it takes a few months to get a new patient appointment. But in my experience it was worth the wait. She is all for me having WLS and said that if my PCP isn't supported she would recommend a new PCP that would be. Her number is 770-427-0285. Kim, Thanks so much. I'll have to give her a call. Your surgery has been pretty recent. Did things go well? Dr. Duncan is to be my surgeon as well. My plans for surgery have been stalled as a result of my health insurance plan having a written exclusion.

Yes, surgery went well. As of today, down 53 pounds! Kim

I use Dr. Michelle Houston as do many of my friends. She is wonderful. Her PA had WLS years ago so they are both very understanding of obese women. Her office is over by Northside hospital. I highly recommend her. Take care.
