Mandated DIET before WLS approval question.....

Ok - I've been to the nutritionist and I've got the diet. I'm doing the diet. I have a question about this...... what happens if I loose "some" weight with the diet and the insurance company denies the request for WLS? Has anyone ever had this happen? MY BMI bumps between 38.9 & 40.5 with what I was already doing with my everyday... diabetic diet.... what happens if the BMI goes below the 35 range ............... knowing that the weight will come back................. and they don't approve or a WLS doctor says "NO" to surgery........ Depending on how long you are on the diet, it may show that you lose and gain it back. You can find a BMI checker on this site just dont remember where. Play with it to see how much weight you would have to lose to drop your BMI below 35. Might be allot. Good luck.
