The Verdict Is In- Revision Surgery!

Well Folks, Now that I have gotten over my crying episode- I can post what my outcome was with Dr. Steinberg today. Basically for any long term effectiveness, surgical intervention is required. The best surgical option is a revision to a Duodenal Switch. The referral he gave me does not do revisions, so it looks like there is a group at Emory Hospital who does. I am waiting for Cathy to give me a call back so I can set it up. Right now, I guess I am having a small setback and filling self pity. I am sure I will get myself together and do what needs to be done. However, the thought of being in this Limbo and the termoil is really really frustrating. Dr S's office was a full house today and even had a celebrity guest in the waiting room...who looks like he had lost quite a bit as well..Just a testimony of how great this process works for the majority. So just bare with me as I accomplish this next hurdle and thanks for the support and . Denise

Denise, I am so sorry that the first surgery did not work for you as planned, but at least there is hope that this surgery will get you where you want to be. And for that, I am so happy for you. May God continue to bless you and your family. Norma
