1 Month report.

Well it is official I am 330... Go me! I went to the doctor's office on Monday, they were really amazed on how well I was doing, Lori Wood is my Nurse at Doctor Duncan's office and she actually said I was Handsome.... Amazing, how I now have people who call ME Handsome now. I am sure most of it is just "supportive" but I love it anyways. As you know I have been getting set backs on solid foods, sometimes one bite will make me toss my cookies, my wife asked me to try some shrimp, and the thought of what solids do to me made me avoid it at first. I was told, I really need to eat 4-6 times a day... which before the surgery I would have rejoiced, but now it's like... you got to be kidding. I don't even feel hungry, I just do it because I know I have to. I did get some imitation crab, and that seemed to be ok, because when you chew it becomes really fine and easy to digest. I am still learning my comfort level of when I am full, so that's been pretty tough. I have learned that drinking through a straw is best for me, because I don't swallow a lot of air that way, and I can drink my protein shakes easier. OH YEAH, as you probably know I been struggling with my shakes.... I had myoplex, while they are a good company and all, it's just not for me. I am now drinking EAB Advantage, been loving it. To me it is smooth and tastes like a slim fast shake, or Adkins, which use to be both diets I had tried. I am glad everyone had commented on my new picture, and I thank you all. I want you to know how much your support means, and I hope these long posts help someone else out there, it is my journey, and my online public diary. Miles

Miles, you are doing great! Keep up the good work. And, you are handsome...before surgery as well. Maybe you will come to the support group in Henry County. It won't be that far for you. My mother lives off of 16 in Griffin. So, I'm in your neck of the woods every weekend almost. My husband had surgery too. maybe we should get together to meet sometime.

Yeah I do plan on doing that, shoot me the address and times and I will try to show up
