Topic: RE: MEDICADE?
Medicaid in Georgia paid for mine. There was no problem for me getting approved. You do have to see several specialists first and have medical issues. Once you see all the required doctors an get the paper work in it doesn't take long to be approved.

I am having the RNY done, the fobi pou*****ludes a silastic ring around the pouch created during the RNY procedure. This helps to prevent the pouch expanding too much months and years after surgery. It makes you feel full longer and helps you retain your weight loss.

Topic: Age Limit for BC Surgery
My name is Arlene and I will soon be 62. I am petitioning my doctor for BC surgery. His said my age is a problem, not health. He is in the process of submitting information to his insurance group and thinks my age is a problem (what ever the reason). I am wondering if there is anyone my age or older that has had the surgery. I would appreciate those over 61 responding. I live in Sun City California and my doctor is Dr. A. Odubela. Thanks.
Topic: I need some advise
I am going to be having WLS on March 17, 2005. My surgeon has started doing the Fobi Pouch GB and has recommended it to me. I need to make a decision by this Tuesday. I fully trust my surgeon but I'm unsure if I want a foreign object in my body. Please advise of your experiences. I have A LOT of weight to lose (about 180 pounds). I want to do everything I can but I'm still nervous.
Thanks for your help!

BRANDY NEEDS OUR PRAYERS PLEASE!!!!
2:30 pm -- BRANDY NEEDS OUR PRAYERS --- Brandy had her surgery yesterday and when I spoke with her everything seemed fine, except for the fact that she was in a lot of pain. I spoke with Brandy this afternoon and things are not as well as we thought. When she had her leak test this morning, the liquid she had to drink would not pass through her Esophagus which indicates some type of blockage, therefore she is now waiting for Dr. Burrows to come to the hospital to check her out, she may have to endure surgery again. I will update you all later this afternoon. Please keep Brandy in your prayers.
Thanks, Chris
For those of you who may wonder who Brandy is here is the link to her profile. Thanks for your prayers and support for Brandy http://www.obesityhelp.com/morbidobesity/profile.phtml?N=G1094999803
6:45 pm -- I just spoke with Brandy and Dr. Burrows came by and said that she has a lot of scar tissue in her esophagus from prior surgeries for Achalasia, which is causing the swelling and blockage. He is expecting the swelling to go down and he will do another leak test in the morning.
I would like to thank everyone for there prayers and support and have relayed all messages to Brandy and Please lets all continue to pray for her and her speedy recovery.
Thank you, Chris
Topic: Need a GB surgeon
Hi,
I have seriously contemplated bariatric surgery. I meet most requirements for this type of surgery. I can't find a surgeon in Tulsa, Ok. Any input would be greatly apprediated.
Respectfully,
