Check out Flagler Beach. It is on east coast, halfway between Daytona Beach and St Augustine. Small town, pop 5,000 I think, maybe less. Maintained small town look and feel. No fast food restaurants, or high rises. There aren't many places left like this. House prices are the lowest in years.

Small quaint towns are abundance on both coast of Florida. Between Tarpon Springs & Indian Rocks you've got Palm Harbor, Ozona & Dunedin. Then there's Clearwater Beach, Belleair & Largo. Dunedin is the home of Neilsen Ratings (TV) if you wish to pick up extra work.

Topic: Hi...Newbie with lots of ??'s
Hi everyone,
I am "considering" weight loss procedure and need lots of advice...I am 38 years old and weight 271lbs at 5'6, I am also hypothyroid and have sleep apnea. I am scheduled to see my primary doctor on the 25th of this month to gather information and advice. She has been my dr. for the past 3 years.
I don't know where to begin and have not chosen a dr for this procedure but do know that my insurance(Aetna) does cover if it's "medically necessary" that would include sleep apnea.
I would like to know what some of you did first, did you visit your pcp and they referred you to a specialist in this area? Or did you refer yourself? Any recomendations on Drs. in Miami, Florida?
What would be needed to get an approval from the insurance company to have the procedure?
Any help and advice would be highly and greatly appreciated

I myself live in Miami, but I have heard great things about Tarpon Springs... That is one suggestion that I would definitely look into if I were you Christina :)
Good Luck!
