Melbourne Beach is nice,,I live in Cocoa....Titusville is a small town near Playalinda Beach..Lot's of nature..It is very, very laid back .If you want quiet my neck of the woods is right for you....And with the shuttle retiring soon, Houses are going to be cheap(er) and plentyful(ler). It's a straight shot down the beachline into Orlando..

I look at it from the other side.....What if they had totally nothing to do but answer the phone, and put advertising in the paper....I know the Dr is sought after and busy because he is good..They do NOT Not answer the phone because the are twiddling their thumbs or are out playing golf.
You are right there is no excuse for not returning E-mails.. Try my approach..talk to the person answering the phone..if they put you on voice mail..call back..keep calling back till you get your questions answered. The greasy wheel.... :)

I had my band done in another state but now have to go to Dr. Jawads office. I live in the Orlando area and have to be seen in the Ocala office. They say that after the first visit I can be seen in Orlando. It seems a little crazy to me also, but that's Tricare.

I've left multiple messages and even sent an email with no response so I know how you all feel. Hopefully when I meet the Dr. this week I will be a little more impressed. I had such a great Dr. and his staff was great, so this is really a let down.

Everyone looks like they are doing well! Keep it up.

I didn't meet any other Dr's. I had meeting with the nutritionist who is really nice. She even gives out her cell phone # Also Sandra the nurse, she took out my staples and encouraged me on Monday, when I went to discuss fill. I didn't know what to expect, so I went into this thing with an open mind. Being tricare insured does not give you a choice in Dr's. I am very happy that the Mil deals with Dr. Jawad. I like that he is not younger then I am, and I know he has done this for a long time. Practice makes perfect, right? :)

Hi I live in Ormond and I had surgery with Dr. Jawad back in April. I had the RNY. I liked Dr. Jawad. Not real thrilled with his partner. I had to see him when I got the g-tube out. I don't get to go to the support meetings. Too far to drive and it would be a rush to get there on time from work. Nice to see someone posting on here. I check all the time and it is really slow.

I have lived in Ft. lauderdale, Jacksonville, and now Tampa. They can all be nice. I am partial to Jax. You have a little change of season. And there is St. Augustine-you'll love it. Oh, and Fernandina Beach!
Why don't you take a road trip in fla and get the feel for these places-you will will probably know better
as you stand on the beach and look into the waters-smile. Any questions-I'll be glad to answer.

I'm in Cocoa. I saw the board in the new office. It said Support group meeting tonight. It didn't say where or when. I deceided no to get a fill because I feel that I am loosing enough weight as is for now. I am not a big fan of driving to Orlando. When I feel the need for support I will be there with bells on. :) So far, I am very happy and do not have any issues. Since you are in monthly contact with the Dr and his staff you could make him aware of the issues both other ladies seem to have with the paperwork part of the adventure.
