I Think you need a psychologist.....They do evaluations and are more prevalent. I didn't need a psych eval with Tricare...But hope this helps...Doesn't your Doctor do recommendations, or do you live far away from your surgeon?
A friend of mine is a psycologist..I asked him once what the diffrence is.. He told me
Psycologists get them before they are nuts, Pyschiatrists after they are nuts :)

Sorry Bonnie, but I am too far away to use my psychiatrist. Anywhy I had to pay out of pocket because my insurance wouldn't cover this type of evaluation.
