Well the less you have to finance the better,right? I would consider going to Costa Rica, or maybe even Mexico( the savings is quite substantial). I know of a great company that does all of the planning for the trip and procedure. Plus you get to go on vacation!lol Let me know if you want any more info? :)

Well knowing that medicaid will not be paying for your surgery, have you considered finding someone to finance your WLS? I know that there are companies that can save you 50-70 on your medical costs by traveling to another country. Let me know if you are interested and I can do some more research for you. :)

thanks alot! I am in Pensacola too. I started the liquids yesterday and surgery is the 17th! Looks like you are doing great. It is so hard to imagine loosing that much weight. I have always had a weight problem. About 20+ years ago I went to weigh****chers and lost 55 llbs and weighed 165. It was unbelieveable!

Hi!
I started the liquids yesterday, but am not starving yet! I have been nauseated and had frequent bms. Co workers say it is the protein shakes. How much have you lost so far? I just want to be healthy, not trying to enter a beauty pagent! I am sure as the week goes on, I will get hungry. Today at work I saw McD's and Taco Bell and I survived, but if I could have I sure would have munched down! Thanks for the encourgagement!

I have YET to find a surgeon in my area (Palm Beach) thats accepts this insurance! Im having to drive 4 hours to Ocala to Dr Hoddinott which is the only Dr that I have found :/

This website, Lap-Band Florida offers some information on dietitians (they may know of more local support groups) and has a few support groups and one is in Orlando. Maybe you should try joining a local women's gym like Curves. They offer tons of support. There is one in Deltona, Deland and Sanford! Hope this helps.

Fellow Lord patient here! I am not gonna lie the liquid diet sucked. It was the weekend of my son's 4th birthday. THe smell of that cake as I cut it was intense but I did not even lick a finger. But ow that I am out 5 months from surgery I dont regret anything! Message me anytime and we can talk. I am still a newbe but I may be able to help you out in the things I have already experienced. Its amazing how all the doctors are different. The things Dr. Lord let us have the day of our surgery, some people on here cant have for six months!
