Topic: looking for Dade City, FL Support group
Hi, I am new to florida and live in Dade City area. I had my surgery ( RnY) in Michigan, oct 24th 2009, I moved to florida a week ago and I have been back slidding for months and need to relearn and retrain my brain and belly. (back to basics) If anyone can tell me where I can get help(support group) I would appreciate it.

I'm a Medicaid case manager. Your best bet is to call Sunshine State and ask them for a referral to a surgeon. Most Florida Medicaid patients are required to have 12 months of consecutive nutritional counseling prior to approval for surgery. Do you have straight Medicaid or an HMO? If you have an HMO, you may have to change to whatever HMO is acceptable for the TAMPA area. Good luck.

Dr. Murr is incredible! He did my surgery 8/18/10 and a week later I was feeling awesome! He's one of the top ten leading bariatric surgeon's in the nation. He sits on the board of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (http://www.asmbs.org/). If you don't know this site, check it out before you have surgery. For a surgeon, he is one of the most compassionate I've ever met. His staff are wonderful, from Susan to Liz to Barbara (who you will get to know). Girl, he knows his stuff so go for it!!!!! I have a friend that just had surgery a few months ago who is moving to the Tyndall AFB area. Does anyone know of a support group close to that location, even if it is an hour away?

Topic: Dr needed for out of USA lapband fill
Hi, I had surgery in Mexico, due to financial issues. My surgery was successful , October 2008 and 65 lbs lighter!! I have moved to Melbourne, FL and can not find a fill doctor who will take me. I found Fill Centers USA but 1 is in St. Pete and the other does not a0 have enough experience and b) he doesnt have a flurosopy machine. Any help/ideas/referrals? Thanks!! Maria
