I know what you mean when you said that you don't post because you have nothing to say, I feel the same way. If I had any questions, it seems like somebody else had the same question and they asked first so I would just read the responses, but this has been great that so many people have responded to this post. I have met so many new people including yourself.
As for Dr. Jawad's Holiday party, if you go to his website jawadmd.com and go to the support page the invitation is there. This year it is being held at the Elks Lodge in Ocala on Dec. 11th. If you decide to go you have to RSVP to [email protected] and let hem know of your meal choices. the invite is for the patient and one guest. This will be the first one that I am attending but I understand he throws a great party. Everyone gets dress up, I guess to show off how good they look. It sound like a good time, hope you can make it.

Congratulations on your surgery. This is the begining of a whole new lifestyle. I hope you enjoy your journey to the new you.
As fr sleeping a lot, I did the same thing. I guess between the surgery and being off from my job, I just needed the rest. This will change soon.
There are a lot of very knowledgable people on this site, don't hesitate to post a question or concern.

There is no question in you staying strong, you won't have a choice. LOL If you have made it this far and made the decision to have the surgery you wouldn't do anything to hinder it.
My motto is "Embrace the Journey", take each day as it comes and be fore we know it we all will be slim and healthy.

I had my RNY in April of this year and have so far lost 102 pounds. I don't get on here much because I don't have much to say lol. I didn't know Dr. Jawad was having a party, how do we go about finding out the info. I guess if I went to the meetings he has then I would know. anyways, just wanted to say hello

BAY AREA WEIGHT LOSS SURGERY SUPPORT GROUP
Next Support Group meeting is 11/13/10 @ 10am to noon!
Topic: We will be joining Faith! A Personal Trainer from South Tampa. We will meet and have a small meeting and then head to South Tampa for a little Boot Camp Workout. IT IS GOING TO BE A BLAST!
So this meeting will be short so that we can get to South Tampa to meet up with Faith Clough at noon.
Bring a protein snack so you will have something to eat before your workout and a bottle of water.
Everyone is welcome to join our boot camp, this is FREE.
This is where we will meet up, if you are not able to come to the lodge....... http://rockbottomfitnesstampa.com/
If you are not able to workout, you are still welcome to come and lend support and get some good workout advise.
Bring your workout clothes & change at the lodge or wear them to support group.
Feel free to bring children as always.

Hello Everyone
I am Tami and had my surgery on 3 Nov 2010, I have been a lurker for awhile now, but I feel great and like having other people around.... I sleeping a lot normal, I think I am sleeping 16 hours of a 24 hour day.... I am so excited to be healthy.

I don't have a date yet but I am thinking it will be next month. Still have my psche eval to go to this Sat and then I am all set with everything I needed to do before the surgery.
Yes, I am guessing this will be one holiday season that I don't gain weight. Just hope I can stay strong.

I'm glad you enjoyed the support group meeting last month. Kelli and Jennifer do a good job. I too was there. I sat in the middle of the room, with my 12 yr. old son and my husband. Maybe this month we can meet.
You are doing great, I had my surgery on 8/18 and have lost 51 lbs since then for a total of 69 lbs. Are you going to Dr. Jawad's holiday party?
I look forward to meeting you at the next meeting.
