Topic: NEED HELP WITH SWEETS
I have a real bad craving for sweets. Not just a little, but a lot. To the point I get sick. With the holidays coming up this is going to be real rough. Had RNY 32 months ago and DO NOT want to gain again. Have already started.
Have tried drinking water (getting water logged), sugar free treats (not the same taste), walking (worse when I get back), sleeping (up within a couple of hours craving), etc.
Isn't there something that can be taken to curve this. You know, like alcoholics take a pill.
Can really use some suggestions. I know it is all in my head and I really do not want to see a shrink if I don't have to.
Thank you all.

Topic: RE: iron supplement???
Kristie,
Congrats on having your surgery. For the Iron, go to GNC, get the Ultra Iron 65, it's in a green box. you can crush them and put them in applesauce and as you get further along, you can swallow them whole since they are small. I swallow them now and don't have a problem. I can't take the chewable vitamins they told me to get because I can't stand the taste of them, so I take 2 flintstone vitamins(one in morning and one at night)
Hope this helps.

I guess you and your husband will have a lot to celebrate. It sounds like it will be alot of fun.
I look forward to seeing everybody at the support group meetings and seeing how much weight they have lost.
I will try to look for you at the next meeting.

Topic: RE: Dr. Marin Radulescu, MD - Orlando, FL
Hi.
Dr. Rad is my doctor. I will be having surgery around the first of the year (2011). At first I considered Celebration, but I am so very glad that UHC and Florida hospitals were in negotiations. It made me consider other hospitals and doctors. Dr. Rad and his staff have been good. Not only that, but they do not nickel-and-dime you like Celebration does. At celebration their psych doctor does not take insurance. Her fees are $600! Also, they force you to join their "weight loss program", that is another $1,100-$1,200 that your insurance will NOT coverage. At Dr. Rad's office, everything was very up front and my insurance took care of everything. I only needed to pay my co-pays. And what is really great, I do not have a co-pay for my surgery. UHC is paying 100%!
Good luck to everyone. God bless! :)

Hey Donna! I RSVP for the party after the meeting. So, definitely I am excited about the dancing all night. My husband graduates fire school the day before so this will be a continuation of his celebration also.
I will have to stop being shy at the next meeting and walk up to you and say hi. lol
