Update on Vickie J

Well, I called and talked to Vickie again today. Just wanted to see how she was doing. It was late afternoon and they were just getting ready to take her down for her leak test. Her surgeon had wanted it done this morning but it didn't get done. She said she was feeling pretty well except the pain in her left shoulder that we all know is gas. (Haven't quite figured location out for gas yet) ANyway she was in good spirits and was ready to get up and walk a little. They had kept her down until today wanting her to rest. She seemed fine and said to tell everyone hello. Carol

Carol, Good to hear Vickey is doing well. Is there a reason they didn't get her up today? Didn't you start walking the same day or day after? can you guess why I am asking...went for my pre op today...5 hrs driving and just got home. Enquiring minds want to know about the walking.

I wondered about the walking thing myself but Vickie said her doctor left orders for her to rest the first 24 hours. Each doctor is different and each patient. She said she was ready to get up though. Hope she made it up tonight. Carol
