Surgeon near New Port Riche

Have a friend considering surgery that doesn't have access to internet. Anybody know of good surgeon in her vicinity or support group?

I dont live in New Port Richey, but there are several surgeons in the Tampa area and some others (Overcash and Jawad) in Ocala. She may have to drive a bit for one, but then again most of us have done that. My surgeon was in Ocala which is 2hr from me.

Dr. Brad Case has an office in New Port Richey and in Palm Harbor. Does both open roux-en-y and laparoscopic. His office number is 727-773-2273 and he has a page on this board. Best of luck to your friend.

Actually, Dr. Case no longer maintains an office in New Port Richey to my understanding, but his Palm Harbor office is not too far away. There are several surgeons in the Tampa area, and hopefully some others will chime in with info on them. I'll just give you the ones here in New Port Richey that I'm aware of: Rudolfo Dy, 845-4886; Arthur Verga, 845-1662; Mallik Piduru, 863-0008. I have no information on any of them, so cannot recommend. I chose to go with a DS, which none of them do, so I did not research them. Janice

A good surgeon, the one my wife and I both used is Dr. Barry Haicken. He's in Largo. I was so impressed with waht he did for my wife that I had him do the same thing for me. I definately feel he was worth the trip from Tampa to Largo, about the same as New Port Richey to Largo. He has great before and after surgery programs, as well as being a surgeon.

Rosalie, I had Dr Dy do my surgery on 11/29. He was wonderful. I highly recommend him. He has an office in Hudson and New Port Richey. Contact Ivy Landell at Community Hospital she is the bariatric coordinator there.
