hello everyone, I posted this on the wrong board before so I'm posting it again. I was just approved by the dreaded Cigna. It's been a year long battle and I'm still a little apprehensive. I'm waiting for them to take back my letter of approval. Crazy, huh, but Cigna has done worse things. Anyway, I went to my informational session when Dr. Kim first started practicing at Celebration. I was wondering if anybody has had any experience with him. I thought he was wonderful from what I saw, but wanted to get some actual feedback from patients. I hope to have my consultation with him at the first of the year. Congratulations, to all of you for taking the steps to a healthier and happier you. I get a lot of comfort from reading your posts.

Good luck to you. I have no personal knowledge of Dr. Kim -- but I have heard good things about him.

Tiana, Dr Kim is the best you can get. His bedside manners, his caring and his skills are unbelieveable. Had surgery in April with Dr Kim and have lost approx. 180 pounds to date. Good luck on your journey. You can't find a better surgeon. Charlie

I had my surgery with Dr. Kim on 8-9-04 and have lost 85 pounds. I had a partial lung collapse after surgery but that was no fault of Dr. Kim's. I have to say that he is one of the most caring and kind hearted individuals I have ever met. I work in the health care industry and he is simply awesome. There are so many people who act like they care and they don't. He truly does. In the hospital, he would visit about 3-4 times a day. I would tell him to go home b/c I knew he had been there all day. You will not go wrong choosing him. Good luck!

I also had Dr. Kim and only have the best to say about him and his staff. He is VERY thorough and professional. He is also a sincerely caring surgeon. Celebration Health is more like a hotel than a hospital, and since they have a ward dedicated to just bariatric surgery, they are well equiped for our "special needs". Dr. Kim believes in follow-up care, and his support groups have people from all over the place, even people that had the surgery somewhere else.
