What form of protein does everyone use. And what kind is it? As I was preparing for the surgery I tried several different kinds of shakes and evern was tempted to try protein pills which was made out of sheeps skin. Does anybody have any suggestions?

I use (I forgot the total name) something Champion's Pure Whey Stack in Chocolate. I like it because it can be mixed in 4oz of water or milk which is easier for us to get down since our pouches are so small. One scoop of it is 23g of protein. With skim milk, you get around 27g. It tastes pretty decent. I have tried several different ones and believe me, I am really picky. This one is the best I have tried so far. I liked the vanilla from www.unjury.com too. You can order samples there. Also try www.vitalady.com and order samples. The Nectar brands are decent. I have a huge tub of strawberry kiwi but I really hate it now. I would be willing to part with it for real cheap (not sure where you live) Let me know if you have any questions!

I definitely recommend buying samples before investing in the big canisters until you know you'll actually like it. I got a lot of samples from many places, but go back to valleynutrition.com and unjury.com the most now. I have a few favorites, but find it easier to pick up the four-packs of EAS AdvantEDGE premade drinks, so I usually drink those. Walmart has the best prices and they carry the coffee flavors which I like a lot, especially cafe caramel. Some others I like are Unjury Vanilla, Dynmatize's Elite brand (Choc and Choc Mint) and Carbwatcher's Proplete Gold brand (Banana). I dont know if you work or not, but I keep a supply at work in case I race out the door and havent had a shake yet or just need a "pick me up" during the day. That has helped me out quite a few times. Good luck with your taste tests Amy
