Cigna...good or bad?

I just found out my employer is changing to Cigna starting Jan 05. I currently have United Health, and while some people tell me its a good insurance I have heard they are notorious for denying plastic surgery. I asked about Cigna on the main board and got just as bad reviews. But no one *****sponded was from FL. I know many people say it depends on your employers plan...but I would thing reconstructive surgery would be included with all plans...although I realize their definition of reconstructive vs. cosmetic may be what I have to fight.

Not good! Check out http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/Cignassqueakywheels/ I just got confirmation today that my companies policy will have an exclusion for Gastric Bypass surgery starting January 1st. Apparently, Cigna is pushing companies to add quite a few exclusion in order for them to keep their premiums low. Your best bet is to contact your benefits person and have them check to see if your proceedure is excluded. It is difficult to get this information directly from Cigna. Good Luck
