Post-Op Nausea( 4 days)
Sorry to hear Amy is having problems with nausea. I was very lucky not to have that problem, but when someone in our house has problems with nausea we try to make them hot tea (we like camomile but any will do) try adding lemon, and a small amount of ginger. (fresh if you have it) This seems to calm the tummy.
Hope she starts feeling better soon.

Hi there, what kind of diet was she prescribed?
There should be not fat at this early stage... Sometimes, even itty bitty amounts of fat can make you feel like that.
Also, whatever meds she is taking, should be taken during meals, (not before or after)
Hope this helps. If it doesn't, one thing I'll assure you: IT GETS BETTER!!!!!
Please tell her I have her in my thoughts!!

Hi Bob!
Hope this post finds Amy doing better. If the nausea is THAT bad and starts to interfere with her fluid/"food" intake, contact the surgeon. They may be able to prescribe Lortab I believe it is for the nausea OR better yet they have Phenergan (spelling?). Phenergan is a suppository so she won't have to swallow anything else and it works well. I did not have this problem with this surgery but did with a previous one...trust me, ask for phenergan if the surgeon will give it up.
Best Wishes,
Danielle
