Did I do the right thing? Open vs Lap...

Hi Phoenix: I had Dr Dietrick at WISH and went in wanting lap. Now I am glad I had it open. I have pictures behind my AOL profile with my little incision and staples if you'd like to see it, My abdomen is a lot bigger than yours and your incision will be smaller I am sure. Dr DiCicco is tops also and like Dr. Dietrick, likes to be able to see and feel around while he's in there. When I was post op and walking the halls, we WLS folks all chatted and the lap folks seemed to have a bit more pain. Trust what they suggest, they are tried and found to be true, Doctors D. at WISH! ~Tina~

Thanks for everyone's post. I am feeling better and better about my decision. I can see that different things work better for different people, and I just have a good feeling about it being open for me. (The anesthesia time factor really helps me out). Thanks again everybody!! -Phoenix
