I know this is probably TMI but I am having issues too. I have Mirena which is an IUD that has hormones on it. Before surgery I only spotted for a couple days every other month if that, but now I have it for about week and half to 2 weeks every month. If I didn't have the Mirena I would probably have it constantly. I am going to my OB/GYN this month to get checked out..but I am sure is it the changes cause of the surgery. Tracey -67

I dont have any problems, but a friend who had surgery does where she rarely got her period before surgery due to her weight, now she has it for an extended time. I would definitely contact your doctor who will probably refer you to go to your Ob-Gyn. Good luck

Joining the "TMI" club. I was lucky if I got my period once every three months before surgery and since I've had it...BAM...got it three days after surgery and it lasted for seemingly forever...I had just had it two weeks BEFORE my surgery. I swear, people say the surgery helps with fertility, but does it really make you fertile Myrtle that quick??? I am not on birth control and cannot be for awhile longer...so I don't know what's up...I mean is it really a problem other than an inconvenience? Danielle

Well, so long as everyone is giving TMI, then my period has always been right on schedule to the day. The first month following surgery, I was days and days late and then it was almost non-existant when it finally showed up! I chalk it up to a big loss the first month. It will be interesting to see what happens this time. Jan

Hey there- thanks for all of the responses. My doctor called and said that when people lose weight fast and fat cells explode, estrogen is at it's all time high, i.e. causing bad periods. I had to take massive doses of the pill to see if it will help. If it's not one damn thing it's another!
