On My Way!!!

Hello everyone, I'm Jae and this is my first official post to the site. I am very very excited about having the surgery, I can burst!!!! I am sceduled for my surgery on November 8th at 12:30pm. I must admit, I've already broken down a couple of times, and my mind began to think all kinds of crazy stupid stuff. However, God reassured me with His peace...so I'm ready to conquer this 25 yr old demon of weight. I am having the Vertical BandGastroplasty procedure...so if anyone has this one, and doesn't mind passing on advise...I'm open. Talk with you guys soon... Jae

Jae, Welcome to the FL board and congrats on your upcoming surgery. I broke down several times before surgery too, pretty normal I also cried several times after surgery and I didnt really know why, it was weird but also normal (so I heard). I am glad you have peace of mind as you enter surgery, that is so important. Good luck to you and please keep us posted on your progress. Amy

Hi Jae and welcome to the board!! It's a wonderful time, looking forward to your surgery. Enjoy the whole process!! You'll be fine! I didn't have the procedure you're having, but I imagine the same advice I was given would still apply to you and that is, after surgery, walk, walk, walk and sip, sip, sip!!!
