Sick AGAIN!

Kim, I'm so sorry that you've been having these awful problems. Does no one know why you're getting these absesses?? I hope you beat this thing once and for all!!!! And happy birthday, too!!! Jan

Jan, thanks! No, evidently no one has a clue. My PCP just kept saying, oh it's a bug bite, here's some keflex. This happened, oh 4 times and finally the 5th time the ER doc said, we need to take a culture and that's when they discovered the MRSA. This will be the 6th on since Memorial weekend. I just got out of the hospital Sept 13 with the last one. The scab is still on the last one where they opened it up to drain it. I've only been off the zyvox for like 2-3 weeks. I'm so frustrated! Most likely tonight instead of my husband taking me to a bday dinner, we'll be going to the hospital again.

Happy Birthday Kim!!!! I have a girlfriend that has the same thing as you. She has to go to the hospital often to have it taken care of. The first time it happened she almost died because she was not aware of the seriousness of it. She is also a diabetic which complicates the healing process also.
