Hello all..I just wanted to know if anyone was watching the Olympics this year and what your favorite events are? It seems that I have watched them ever since I was little....and I still get excited when the U.S medals, especially when it is gold and we get to hear our nat'l anthem playing...I like the gymnasts the best...and I used to remember that they had an equestrian (sp?) event, but I haven't seen it this year...I think that as I head towards getting this surgery I find them very inspiring...how they are so dedicated and how they are able push themselves so far, both physically and mentally...I only hope that this surgery allows me to adopt some of those healthier pursuits~ Tricia

I've been following the Olympics, but not boxing or tennis or baseball or softball. I like gymnastics, track and field, shooting, shot putting, synchronized swimming, diving, swimming, high jump, long jump, and most anything else. I've watched the dressage and jumping events but they've been on at 5 a.m. on BRAVO. I watch them until my alarm goes off at 6. Pathetic, I know!! Jan

I've been watching them ever since I got my power back after Charley's unexpected visit. I like the gymnastics, some track events, swimming, diving and a few others. I saw some dressage on Bravo too over the weekend, it was beautiful. I think a lot of the smaller events are on the other NBC stations like MSNBC, Bravo, PAX, etc. I noticed that this year they arent playing as many personal stories of the athletes like I remember, I miss that. Since I missed the opening ceremonies because of all the Charley news that night, I'm anxious for the closing ceremonies. Amy

Patricia, I've been into the Olympics ever since I was little too. I love gymnastics, track & field, anything in the swimming pool softball and volleyball. I've been watching the highlights every night so late into the evening I'm exhausted the next day Danielle

We love to watch almost all of it. We're especially excited when the swimming & rowing are on. Both of our sons were rowers in high school (both qualified for the high school national championships) and our oldest was also a competetive swimmer for 6 years. My older son now lives in NC and we call each other long distance when we see a rowing event being televised, just to be sure neither of us misses it. We attended 2 days of rowing and 1 day of the shooting events when the Olympics were in Atlanta. FABULOUS!!! It was an expensive trip but something we'll never forget & worth every penny! Vickie J.

I've watched it here and there, my favorite has to be beach volleyball. What could be better than an olympic event, where the girls wear bikinis.

Hi Patricia, The Olympics are always on in my house. Milton and I love to watch and cheer for the U.S.A while we sit on the edge of our seats! The U.S.A has done so well this year! I am very proud of all of them! MICHELLE
