Kathy Barnett back in TGH
Kathy was admitted back to the hospital yesterday due to an allergic reaction she is having to something, presumably the Percocet she was taking. She had written about it on her profile but was admitted when she broke out in huge, itchy hives and her throat began to close up. I visited her today and she was in relatively good spirits, although her poor face was all swollen up and her IV infiltrated her arm just before I left, so she was not a happy camper at all. Please send some happy thoughts her way and lets hope she can go home soon!

Kim thanks for letting us know and reminding me to be sure the dr. and hospital have all my medicine allergies. This kind of thing happens to me on a weekly basis and everyday its something new causing these humongous hives, rashes or narrowing of my throat. Can be very serious. I had an awful reaction on the 9th when I had anesthesia for EGD/colonscopy. Turns out the anesthesia has some form of egg in it. I warned them ahead of time and they told me "oh we know you have that allergy, we will just give you some benedryl ahead of time" Well its been 14 days and I still have the hives!
I sure hope they find out what it is and keep a good eye on her. Please tell her we all miss her and are sending prayers her way.
