Still Kicking!

As of 5:30 pm we got power back!!!! Now this was an experience I will never forget. Our house wasn't damage but a few trees fell in our yard. With 7 people in the house, 5 cats, a guinea pig, and 4 dogs (2 I voluteered to take in) I am surprised we didn't kill each other. I did have to get my staples out 2 days early due to leakage from infection from sweating way too much and cold water showers...but at 2 weeks I am 23lb down!!! I thought I was failing, it was so hard to make my meals without power. I hope everyone else is safe and sound...I do feel for the people that don't have power now. Tracey

Thank you so much...things are finally looking up for us! Atleast we can sleep in our bed again and not in a living room with the kids....oh and a warm shower sounds sooo goood right now. But first things first...2 year old and a bath. Tracey

Thanks...I truely thought I was failing at losing weight. I will for sure be at the mall for the get together on the 28th. I feel amazing...I never really thought I would feel this way again in my life. Tracey

Way to go Tracey...I have to hand it to you. I had a house guest for three days with her two dogs and let's just say it was a NIGHTMARE. We were about to kill her But down 23lbs. even after all that! WOW And you've got a 2 year old? My son will be 2 Sept.29th and his bath came first when we got power back (for the 2nd time) yesterday. Best of luck to you.

There is always 7 people here My mom and dad, husband, and 3 kids...12, 6 and 2. I felt so bad tossing her in the cold shower the other night, I swear she was going to claw the skin off my arms. 1 of the dogs goes back tomorrow and the other will be staying for good...we fell in love with her. The extra dogs were retired greyhounds from the local GPA. My greyhound though is in quarintine...long story I am so glad you got your power back...this truely was horrible time to have no AC.

Tracey, man are we in the same boat. I have me, my son, my brother, both my parents and both my grandparents, two dogs and two cats that fight constantly {the cats I mean} The guest was a co-worker and like I said, her dogs stunk and caused such a rukus!!!!!!! We also had my grandmother's best friend here for the storm. MAD HOUSE. Was elated to have electric back, FL heat, not good. Take care!

This was such an experience...and once in a life time I hope. I can't wait to finally see you too. I am also thinking about heading over your way to donate blood, I will let you know if I get the time. We had a major drama happen 2 days ago, and I need to go take care of more things dealing with it...thank god I can drive again. Tracey
