OK...LET'S SEE HOW EVERYONE IS;
Hi Here in the panhandle we did well through Bonnie.
Now I wondering how everyone did today through Charley. Cat #4 is nothing to sneeze at.
Can we get a count on the areas. I know it went in at Sanibel Island. (I vacationed there a few years ago.)
So...........Let's see who saw what and who is still out there with power and all.
(BTW, Amy, I missed the question today ....Man!!!.......I already had the answer ready too
) I understand though.
HOPE ALL ARE SAFE AND SECURE TONIGHT.
Carol

Hi Carol
Tampa area was very,very LUCKY! We were suppose to get alot of the storm. But as you know Charley came in more south. I am in Plant City on the Polk, Hillsbourgh County line. We got some bans of heavy rain and winds. But never lost power. Thank God.
BTW, Amy was probably in the middle of it all.I bet her next question of the day will be about the storm.

Doing just fine here in Bradenton...65 miles South of Tampa. Yes it was a non event, but the poor people in Pt. Charlotte! We were ready, looked like we were camping out! Even pushed the cars back on the garage door, just in case. Getting all the outside stuff back in place today. Looks like the next storm is going to come our way too! I am counting my blessings. If Charlie was on track and going to hit us directly and go on up the bay to Tampa, I can say that I don't think my house would be standing today. That 145MPH wind I think would have done us in.
Someone heard on the news yesterday that "Ocala doesn't know what it's in for", but then it veered and tore through Orlando. I don't wish any bad on anyone, but I'm glad we were spared. My heart goes out to Port Charlotte and ***** Gorda though!!! I remember the aftermath of Andrew and it wasn't a pretty sight!
Hope all can take time out of their day to pray for the families that have been devastated by Charley or Bonnie. The deaths are so tragic and even though it could have been so much worse, we want to keep the families of those who died in our prayers. I am thankful so many were spared but it also sounds like a lot of people will be without homes or utilities for a while. My Aunt and Grandmother live in Deltona. They lost some trees and electricity will be out maybe a week or more. Hard times for people so use to this great electricity.
