Want new PCP info...

I'm thinking about changing to a new PCP. The one I have seems like I'm bothering her sometimes when I go to see her. I asked her today if I could do my 6 month supervised diet with her and come in once a month to be weighed but she said no that basically they don't have time for that. And there has been other times that she just doesn't have time when I've called to ask a question she made me go in and pay my co-payment to talk to her. Does anyone have a good MD that really cares about their Obese patients in Tampa that takes AVMED now and I'm changing to United Health Care or Humana in January. Thanks, Jennifer

Sorry my PCP is in Lee County. It seems that I would not want that Dr. anyway. I guess she doesn't have a good bedside manner. You will be better off in the long run.

I can't help you with finding a new PCP, as I am in Broward Cnty..but I would definitely find another doctor to go...your health is way too important to be treated that way....as a patient, you are what keeps her in business and her services are being paid for, if not completely by you, then by your insurance comp...so she is working for you..I would find another PCP and then write a letter, both to your insurance provider and to her and let them know exactly why you are changing PCP's. Good luck and take care ~ Tricia
