How much is it to Self Pay????

I am still waiting for insurance approval and will appeal if needed but wanted to know an average cost for anybody out there who went self pay. Never hurts to start saving right??? Thanks a bunch! Terri

I used the Wish Center and it is around 23, 900.00. That being said that includes Dietician, Excercise Specialist, Pschyologist, and Doctor on Staff. As well as three years of follow up at 3 weeks, 12 weeks, 1 year, and 3 years and any questions or concerns during that time. They have a very structured program and get you ready for the surgrey. I had open RNY the laposcopic is 7 or 8 thousand more I believe. Check around, remember you get what you pay for. The Wish Center also helps with financing all or part. Terri, I had ot self pay with Dr. Haicken in Largo, Hospital was $12,000.00 and the surgeon was $5,400.00. That includes three days in the hospital and all of pre-op and post-op follow up visits.

USBariatrics in Ft Lauderdale, the grand total was a bit over $15,000 ($4000 surgeon fee, $1,250-ish anaesthesia fee, $9,250 hospital fee, $600 program fee). Cleveland Clinic Florida in Weston (W of Ft Lauderdale a smudge) was $35,000 self-pay. There are places in Mexico that are cheaper -- $8,000 to $10,000. hi there, i am going lap-band... Dr. in ocala--staff said 12, 500$ that is at out pt. surg. center.. includes surg, anesthiesia, and 3 fills hope Cigna can help me, but with my luck...well u know the story...lol...good luck gloria
