We would like to Welcome you to Bay Area Weight Loss Surgery Support. This is a support group located in Tampa Florida.Our local meetings are open to anyone who has either had or is thinking about having weight loss surgery of any kind.
Our main goal is uniting weight loss surgery patients from around the Tampa Bay are...a; supporting each other by sharing ideas and information, and forming a local weight loss surgery community, focused on a healthy active life.
We are very excited about meeting everyone and getting to know each others WLS world. We are open to all suggestion and topics of concerns at our meetings. We look forward to learning new and old things.
One really exciting thing about this group and where it is held, it has a full restaurant style kitchen. So we can learn to cook together and healthier. That is just one of the most exciting things we have planned for this support group.

This is the Bay Area Weight Loss Surgery Support Group. It will meet in Central Tampa, and open to anyone in the Tampa Bay/West Central Florida area.
This is going to be a real live support group with on line support, (via an O.H. support group page, and a facebook support group page),between meetings. The support group is going to be open to any person interested in weight loss surgery, pre-op, post-op or just curious about it. The support group will not be tied to any one surgeon, surgery group, hospital, or surgery type. The support group is all volunteer, free and open to anyone who wants to join and participate.
Some of the things we are planning, is organizing work outs together, walking together, walking for fundraising events together, cooking display, and anything else that we as a group can come up with.
We have a place where we can meet; it has a large dining room with with a stage and an attached Kitchen for the cooking demonstrations. We would have the building to ourselves, with plenty of free parking.
We need ot know who would be interested in joing a Tampa area Support group, and when you would like to meet, weekday night, or weekend day. you would even be able to bring your kids and set them up in another room.
I can tell you from experience, you never out grow the need for support, or at least I didn't.
