Hey everyone, I am by no means new to "online dating" , I have had some good and not so good experiences, met a lot of cool people and have had some relationships come out of it , but also met some "not so nice" people lol. just wanted to get your thoughts about online dating, good and bad....

hay... i have done it to... met some freaks... ( like the who calls my phone 50 times till i answer) and some pretty cool people who i have had friendships with... just be careful and go with your "gut feeling" of the person

Marta, I have definitly done the online dating thing! I have never really met anyone just crazy, but I am sure they are out there. I have met people who lied about their looks. Most people I met were pretty nice though. I have had a few short relationships from meeting people online. Heck, I met Milton online 5yrs. ago and we are still together. I think he is the only crazy one I ever met though. LOVE, MICHELLE

I met my husband online 4 1/2 years ago, he was my buddy to talk to about other guys I was dating. I dated a lot of guys from online, and most were 'turds'. My mom didn't understand why I kept meeting guys, but she now understands. I had to kiss a lot of toads to find my prince. Tracey

Marta, Hey there. I too did a lot of "online dating" a few years ago. I met my husband online almost 6 yrs ago. And I was crazy about him and at first he said I wasn't his type because I was overweight. HA!! He wanted to be just friends!! HAHA!! So I decided to give him the cold shoulder for a while. And one day I received this email that he really missed me and wanted to talk to me. Things progressed from there and eventually he said I think I've fallen in love with you!! Now we've been married four yrs!! Karee

Hi Marta, I met my husband online in a chat room back in 1999. At first family/friends thought I had lost my mind especially when I planned to go and meet him the first time. (I drove from SC to Miami) I was very cautious and got to know Omar very well from emails and lots of phone calls. HI there! Online dating can be fun of course. IT has its up and downs. I am a product of it too of course and so is my hubby! This September we will have been married 4 years, but have known eachother for 6 and a half, and still loving it! I do suggest that those who do "online date" be carful of those who are out there. THere are many crazy people out there you just weed them out carefully! BullDOg Lady

hi marta again. i also do online dating off and on the past 4 years. recently since moving to FL started again. I've met some really nice people, nothing scary thankfully, some fun dinners/conversation even one guy i saw a couple of times and really liked (oh yes I thought he was a keeper****il i realized he was a BIG LIAR. also look out for married who just want to fool around and for unmarried who just want to fool around...lol like when meeting anyone else, take precautions. I use my car when meeting them and do not get in their cars until and if i am ready regardless of what they may say. carol
