I'm Back!!!

Hi Everyone! I'm back home from my pre-op testing in Ft. Lauderdale. Everything went just fine. Thanks again Misty for the great advice about the blood gases, it didn't even hurt! The only bad thing that happened was when the nurse squirted my blood all over my clothes. I looked like an accident victim!!! My gallbladder ultrasound and EKG were a breeze, and I got to skip the PFT test since I'd just had one a month ago. Unfortunately I didn't get to meet Carey from Dr. Cox's office, he didn't work today. I got all of the answers correct on the quiz Dr. Cox gave me in his office. It was two pages of T/F questions. Dr. Cox said that I was a perfect candidate for the surgery, so it's a go for the 14th! I missed all of you... Hugs, Erika L

Erika, Hey girly~ I thought about you all day! I am glad everything went well! So can ya clue me in one Mistys advice for the blood gases? The fact that you didn't have to have the PFT again gives me hope. I just had mine done last week I think. Glad to have ya back. MICHELLE

Congratulations on your up coming surgery. I am really glad for you, but I guess that means you will not make our meet and greet in Jacksonville. Maybe you'll feel up to coming to Orlando in August. IMP gail

Erika, I am so glad things went so smoothly for you! Can you email me that tip as well would love to know how to get through blood gasses with little pain as possible. You are getting very close to going over to the lossing side!! I hope I am close behind! Take care... Linda R
