GOT MY DATE!! GOT MY DATE!!! GOT MY DATE!!!

Okay, I am a bit excited, I admit it! Got my call this morning from Susan at Dr. Murr's office. My date is August 11, 2004 at Tampa General. I am just totally relieved! I have so much to do before THE day. Anyone have any good ideas on organizing and preparing? Anything you post ops found out afterwards that you wish you had thought of beforehand? I am like a sponge! I want to soak up all the info and advice I can! Anyone else scheduled for around my date? If so, lets chat!

Oh my things are really falling into place for you now and quickly...sending prayers to keep you calm, hugs to keep you close and patience so you don't have anxiety and times creeps closer...now remember that cuz that is all I will be needing too when my time comes

Congratulations Kathy! I know you must have butterflies but we will all be thinking about you and hopefully some us (like Me) will be having the surgery around the same time. It is the start of a new life for you. I will be interested in any spongeful advice you get. I want to soak it to if you don't mind for my future.

CONGRATULATIONS!! I'm so happy for you, and I know the excitement you must feel. And August is just around the corner, hopefully the time will fly by for you! One thing I'm glad I took with me to the hospital ... chap stick. If I didn't have chap stick with me, I think I would have gone nuts!

Congrats Kathy! I just got my date this week also. Mine will be July 19. I started a list of the few things to take to the hospital. I gleaned the list from a friend who is post op with the same doc and hospital. Sugar free gum to keep mouth moist, lip balm, slippers that you can just slide into or beach thongs ( less chance of slipping ) a fan if you feel warm or your room isn't cool enough for you, a camara for instant post op photos, footies, hair bands, lotion you like, photos from home in one collage or frame, maybe a game boy or seek and find books if you feel good and are bored, a phone card if you make long distance calls, relaxation music...
